My Story in a Nutshell
Greetings! I’m Jaime Ridgway, L.Ac. When I think about my story as it relates to Energy medicine I attribute it to the medicine finding me. I have always been a deep thinker, intuitive, an Empath/HSP, a spiritual person, creative, and someone who cares for the well-being of others. At the time I was introduced to this medicine I had been struggling with multi-layered disharmonies – partly due to not knowing how Empathic, Highly Sensitive, and Intuitive I was and how to navigate that. I was not feeling good! I knew I had to make many changes so I shifted my intention and started my real healing journey. Very shortly after I made this decision, I was introduced to Energy & Chinese Medicine through a yoga studio I was attending. I will never forget how I felt after my first Acupuncture & Chakra Alignment session – it was AMAZING for me! Within a couple of months, I made the decision to go back to school to study Chinese Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, FL. Through my studies, healing journey, and assisting others in my work, I learned even more so that being open, patient, and setting a positive intention to heal and grow is everything – and when you ask for support for healing or anything in that matter, the Universe hears you.
I have over 9 years of clinical experience in Chinese Energetic Medicine. I hold a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and two Bachelor degrees in Professional Health Sciences and Graphic Design. I am board certified Licensed Acupuncturist in North Carolina (LAC1030), Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Reiki Energy Healer and a member of the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).
And I am blessed to be able to help people heal!
Personal
I am a big fan of nature! I admire its beauty and tranquility and its amazing ability to balance the mind, body, and spirit. Hiking and spring/waterfall hunting is a past time of mine. I am also very creative and enjoy making healing Crystal & Stone Jewelry ~ please see my work below. Furthermore, I love animals which I’ve always been very connected to. They keep us curious and engaged in life! I have 3 adorable felines.
